Daroff is leading the interior design for a new build 336-unit rental apartment building in Phoenixville, PA. Steelworks, appropriately named for the town’s former life as a steel and iron manufacturing hub, will feature a design palette inspired by the history and natural resources of the area.

The project will include a hotel-like lobby, complete with a signature custom designed dual staircase as the focal point. A business center with reservable conference space and a library, ideal for casual meetings, will be located on the ground floor available for the anticipated number of professionals working from home in this building. Additional ground floor amenities include a coffee shop, media room and game room, which features a golf simulator.

Because of Phoenixville’s rich art culture, the developer has included local art in Steelworks’ program. A local artist will be installing a ceiling sculpture at the monumental stairs spanning the first and second floors. Other artists will be used to provide artwork throughout the building.

Steelworks is expected to be completed in 2024.
