DDI brought the style and energy of the 1940’s Havana, Cuba into the modern day Latin flavor with their design of Cuba Libre, located in the Quarter in Atlantic City, New Jersey. DDI created an atmospheric fantasy experience, utilizing modern amenities and equipment in this old-world inspired restaurant and bar. DDI succeeded in this by the use of a warm color scheme of bronze, and multiple shades of brown, orange and red, the inclusion of antiques with modern-day accessories, and lighting reminiscent of an open air Havana Café. The overall effect was to have the guest feel as if they were transported back in time to excitement of “Old World Havana”.
